God's Truth is what we truly need in a world of ever expanding distraction. 

The Deal

Straight to the point. Renewing our minds through Christ Jesus is the way to avoid being conformed to this world. The world and all its stuff. Jesus is calling us all to be fishers of men. In order to do that His disciples had to let all they were in the world go. Easy to say or read. With Jesus beside us I believe it can be done. Less of me and More of Jesus. Remember, Jesus was before the world was made. He will be after this world is wrapped up like a scroll. He know how many hairs are on your head. He loves us as His children. He has your life in his strong hands. He cares for you. Jesus is Faithful and True. He has you. There is a lot of people that are stressed out right now about life. Jesus is the answer.

Jesus

Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life! In a world that tells us continually that there are many ways to God. That truth is relative. And that your life is your own to do whatever seems best for you. (Get in some "Me" time). The Bible is clear, our lives are not are own, they are His. We are His people, the sheep of His pasture, and He is our loving shepherd. Do not do as the world does. Be set apart, for a time is coming where men will not put up with sound doctrine. It is here. Know what you believe and be prepared to defend your faith.

We Fight

The Weapons we Fight with are not the weapons of the World. On the contrary, They have divine Power to demolish strongholds. We Demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and We take Captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4,5

Make every thought obedient to Christ. What a concept. Sounds tough. My mind wanders a lot.
But, I know this. The Spirit helps me in my weakness. (Romans 8:26) We all need to remember that the Battle, is for our minds, daily, whether we choose to be closer to Jesus or to the world. There are powerful forces working to defeat us every day. Cling to Jesus and His Word.

In all these things We are more than conquerors though him who Loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39

Take comfort in this troubled time. We are Loved by The King.

Purpose

In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be Saved. Acts 2:17-21

Time is ticking. We are running out of time. We need to share Jesus with people NOW! It might be uncomfortable to begin a conversation about Jesus with an unsaved person, but that really doesn't matter, wouldn't you agree? Lets all get uncomfortable tomorrow together! Tell someone what Jesus means to you. Make it personal.

Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12

We are blessed people. We have the choice to Believe. To Believe and Trust. To be called a son or daughter of the Most High God. A child of the King of Kings.

Jesus Revealed

When I turned I saw seven lamp stands, and among the lamp stands was Someone "like a son of man," dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. His head and hair were like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.
Revelation 1:12-16

This is our Risen Lord Jesus. King of Kings. Immanuel, God with Us. He is the First and the Last. He is called Faithful and True. I invite anyone who is reading this to take a minute. Stop life for a second and clear all the cluttered thoughts of the day and read the scripture again. Let the awsome-ness of it sink in. Remember He calls anyone who believes in Him, His children. How Incredible!!!

Why This?

I'm not sure exactly how this is going to play out. I'm a horrible typist. I don't do email well but this is it. As I was driving with my daughter Theya to pick up our one day old new boy goat, a powerful thought gripped me. I believe God was telling me to start a blog, something I have been against for some time. Not a blog about everyday family and life, with pictures of kids, life and projects. But one that had a laser Focus on the Truth. The Reality that Jesus is Everthing. In Him we Have Life. This blog will be devoted to the One who is the Way the Truth and the Life so that more may come to His Saving Grace. It will be Bible centered and hopefully a meeting place for discussion about Jesus.
